COVID-19 Update:
Since our last correspondence 8 days ago alerting you to the most recent staff member who tested positive for COVID-19 during routine testing, Miona has tested all staff members regularly, regardless of vaccination status and all residents. While Miona’s testing has not uncovered any positive COVID-19 infections, Miona does have 2 separate staff members who have confirmed COVID-19 infections through testing at home or at a doctor’s office. One staff member has not work since Friday, 6/24/2022 and the other staff member has not worked since Friday, 6/17/2022. Miona believes that these two infections are isolated and did not cause a spread of COVID-19 into the staff and resident population. Miona will continue to test all staff and residents and keep you updated on the results.
Miona remains diligent with our infection control protocols and continues to test staff and residents frequently. Miona will continue to monitor CDC and CMS guidance, and will test all residents and all staff members frequently over the next few weeks to ensure the infection has not spread. We will continue to keep you informed of changes that impact you and your loved ones.
COVID-19 cases have been on the rise nationally over the last week, and Macon County especially has seen a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases. Miona will continue to monitor county and state positivity rates and adjust our infection control procedures accordingly.
If you have any questions related to this or any other care related issue, please do not hesitate to contact the facility at 478-949-2270.
